Special Features of the Work and Methods Used

• Construction of four silos, two with a dimension of 33 metres in diameter and 65 metres in height and two silos with a dimension of 20 metres in diameter and 50 metres in height
• Silos continuously constructed using a sliding formwork (slip form). Concrete work, installation of reinforcing steel and installing post-tensioning ducts were made continuously and simultaneously around the clock (seven days, 24 hours)
• The reinforcing steel workers had to work more than 200 feet high and they had to deal with bad weather (strong winds and cold temperature) and a small working space
• Innovative turnkey project
